I spent the day at home with my family, we went out for a nice breakfast in town with my Nana before she left to go home and just spent the day reading my lonely planet guides to Denmark and Copenhagen. My mum went on exchange to Denmark when she was 18 so she showed me all the places she had been and memories she had in these places.
When I opened the Lonely Planet guide to Copenhagen when I recieved it as a gift I flipped to a random page to see what it would say, as one does. I kid you not, the page I opened to was on drinking and clubs - if any number of my friends were present they would have said 'Classic Ana,' upon further investigation it turned out that not only was I in the alcohol section, but the alcohol section in the chapter specifically relating to Østerbro, the neighbourhood I am going to be living in. Clearly the universe knows me too well.
In the evening we did cake (because 'cake' is a verb now), it was an absolutely amazing cake that Dad had baked for me that day, it was a hit with everyone.
As a random side note: as of my birthday I have lost 12.6kg in 6 months, now having lost all my exchange weight (all the ex-exchange student out there feel my pain) an the lightest I've been in 5 years. Happy Birthday me!
